Fluke of Nemo AK Confirmed in the catalog

Nemo AK @161421

"Nemo" was named for the whale's smaller (and largely missing!) right fluke, like the movie character Nemo's "lucky" right fin. In the case of our whaley Nemo, in one encounter in July 2026, killer whale scaring can be seen on the whale's caudal peduncle -- aka the tail stock. The whale may have lost their right fluke in a killer whale attack as a calf or young animal.
